International Relations and Community Programmes Office
The Office of International Relations and Community Programmes was founded in 1997 due to the necessity of international opening of the "Vasile Alecsandri" University of Bacau towards academic and scientific institutions worldwide, in order to relate to the globalization of cultural values and connect to the European and pan-European higher education network.
The international collaborations of "Vasile Alecsandri" University of Bacau have been developing for the last years, by establishing inter-institutional agreements with well-known universities. Most of these agreements have been signed within the European Programmes such as SOCRATES, TEMPUS, LEONARDO DA VINCI, LIFELONG LEARNING, etc. The co-operation with universities from Europe, Canada and Africa involves student and academic staff exchanges, joint research projects, international conferences and symposia.
Since January 2004, "Vasile Alecsandri" University of Bacau has been an associate member of Francophone University Association (AUF), a status which enables it to participate in AUF programmes and benefit from mobilities in the French-speaking countries.
